As it stands the only chat users can use outside of main is global, I think at the very least trade would be great and local and party would also be helpful additions.
+1000 There has been many times I have teamed and just spammed chat talking to the other people. (Very sorry! ) I could make a discord, but sometimes people are not able to talk or do not want to. This is a great idea, and I was going to suggest it myself. We need ways to talk to multiple people at a time without clogging the main vmr chat.
Trade - There's no need for a unified trade chat across what will ultimately be numerous different markets. Right now this seems like its okay since VMR the only alternative to the main server and does not have it's own economy - so theres still only 1 market. However once skyblock is added this will change; people will buy and sell different things in skyblock than main. There's no need for these chats to be connected and "cluttered" with ads many players will not be interested (main server exclusive players will just be annoyed by skyblock ads and vice versa). Local - VMR chat already functions as this for VMR. Due to the distances and low playercount this is fine. Skyblock may want an island-specific chat however this is something I'm sure Jamie is aware of and working on. Party - mcmmo is awful and doesn't even really fit on other servers
Trade: I agree, var does not have any need for trade Local: I do not agree. Because there may be only 4 people on, but what if 3 of them are teamed? Should the other 1 have to suffer through the spam of chat? Party: Its like teaming, and most of the time you don't want other people to know about your plans. I mean, why not? Worse case scenario, we have chats we don't use.
I see what you mean about TR I think a local or some sort of party chat in vmr would be really helpful for the reasons Lambie listed. VMR is full of teams of players and it would be helpful for there to be some way to talk to only your team.
Trade will bridge into skyblock. Can't create two channels that have the same name and not have them linked.
Just seems like more of a confusion thing for newer players to me. When a new player sees someone selling some block and doesn’t notice the single letter designating a server
I might be misunderstanding what you are saying Jamie, but I can see many exploits if the trade channels are merged.
@Nicit6 @JamieSinn I didn’t see this message earlier. I thought you were saying that the trade for the main and skyblock was going to be the same (in which I I thought you meant that people in skyblock will be able to buy stuff from the main and viceversa)
At least make local chat. Let us team and not spam normal chat. No one us e VMR chat as you intended, no offense of course.
