So question, and not sure if it's already been asked because I've just now found this out: With the villies stacking at five, which for mobs it turns it to one if I'm not mistaken, does that count for villies as well? Meaning that I would need to place more villies in there, in order to have a productive iron farm?
A (slightly OT) question: how do you get villagers in the first place? Above spawn eggs and spawners, which are damn expensive. Is a combination of mob farm + zombie-villager de-zombificator the only viable solution?
You can breed them, although I have not tried or seen it done on ECC quite yet, it's probably 50/50 if it works tbh
Ugh, that's the answer I feared (though expected), filtering them out is going to be extremely painful... Another question: how do you manage to avoid them despawn? I mean, it happened to me twice that a chicken was spawned randomly, I tied it with a lead inside a fence enclosure... and it just de-spawned while I wasn't looking. Both times. Do I have to name it with a nametag (and where am I supposed to get that in skyblock?)
Normally they don't despawn, but if you don't want them to die when the sun comes up, make sure to lead them into an enclosure so they don't burn to death.
Well, chickens don't burn in sunlight but they happened to despawn twice in my island, are chicken and zombie despawn mechanics different?
Did your chicken die or stack with another chicken? Also there will obviously be bugs, but most times your mobs won't despawn. Were you afk when they despawned? They shouldn't despawn if the chunk isn't loaded.
All you need is 2 villagers and just throw potatoes and carrots at em when they're next to each other or smth and they breed.
I wasn't looking at it, so I don't know. But it couldn't possibly die, as it was enclosed in a wooden fence area and tied with a lead to it. Do mobs despawn when you're afk?
But it happened on two different times on the only two chickens that ever spontaneously spawned in my island. Of course 2 is not enough to make a statistical inference, but it led me to think that maybe I was unaware of some despawning mechanic. I hope those were just coincidences, then
