VMR is easily my favorite and most fun things on the server. The one thing holding it back is the payout. It doesn't match the grind or the competition at all. I feel like bumping it up to 500k, more people would join, and it would be much more active. I'd be on everyday if the prize was worth it.
A little more money probably wouldn't hurt, but don't forget these points regarding VMR points & rewards: You also get VMR points, which are used to get a prestige Decent amount of our prestiges don't generate money while grinding to achieve them (mcmmo prestige comes to mind) Some weeks, the theme is pretty easy and/or people aren't really doing VMR (esp. once they acquired prestiges) Hell, when 1.21 came out & the theme was 1.21 Main Server prices, I placed at least Top 2 for six straight weeks (while placing #1 for at least three of those), and I only did VMR for one single day for a couple of hours each week. Now, I am not saying we shouldn't increase the payout, but we shouldn't go too wild increasing them. 500k for Top Spot seems fine, especially given you get 1/10 the amount of VMR points needed for prestige, but absolutely no more than that.
We won't be doing this. If there was more than 5-6 people playing all the time and actual competition for top spots - yes, but as it is, its pretty easy to get the top payouts.
