In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: Website & ForumsShort title for your suggestion: Add a $1 “tip jar” donation optionWhat are you suggesting: Add the option of a $1 donation option in our buycraft store that just gives you the option to pay $1 as a tip (also not against having other options such as $5, $10, $20 as well, but for the purposes of the suggestion (as you will read in the “why this is a good addition” section), I’m mainly suggestion the $1).Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: In order to join an already full server, you need to buy something from the buycraft store. The cheapest item on the market (or at least cheapest I could find) is $10 without a sale. This is kind of a turnoff for some people since that isn’t necessarily cheap. This $1 option can give players an option to get the server limit bypass option while making more money for the server that could’ve been lost if players didn’t want to buy the $10 feature (it’s a trail anyway, and some people don’t like that option).Other information: The $1 is an initial idea as many creative types have a $1 “tip jar” or “buy me a coffee” option. I do that for my personal writing and made well over $30 in a month from people sparing a “worthless” dollar to support me. I also wouldn’t be against having the lowest be $5, but I’m afraid the higher the price for a “tip jar,” the less amount of people who will do it.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
While I like the idea here is the problem I think there will be with this, the reason we limit how many users can be on say main is to ensure that we dont have lag, we have the set amount that can play plus the donors that already bypass it. Adding a simple $1 feature could push Main over the limit and we may start having lag issues again. I dont know the networking/performance aspects of all of this as that is an andrew thing, however it could cause issues for the server in the end.
We will not sell anything under $10. Accepting $1 on PayPal literally costs me more than a dollar. I'd be losing money. (Welcome to business fees.)
