This would require people who want to get their shop into the Database to fill out information on their region, and require them to have to pay a little bit in order to get their shop featured on the database. This could also help prevent the Database being filled up with troll shops, as by not allowing everyoneOther information: tagging @Kozz as this is his creation and it would make sense to have his input. as the shop database can be seen as a form of advertising your shop, it makes sense to have a paywall ($10k ish, but could be raised or lowered as need be by Andrew). Also from reading kozz's suggestion, it seemed that to create regions he would need either himself or a trusted member to do it, why not make it in the forum of a one time application to create a "DataBase" Region in your town, similar to a PVP area or the portal creation application.Plugin or custom addition: The Shop DB that was recently created, whatever we use to do Forum Applications.One suggestion per form: I Understand.
You would map out the region you want the shop to be in, standing in the region and using the stick would update the website in just that region, you could create multiple but this would be to allow editing of the website in this area.
...Uh... based on what he's said this seems a little like... extra work for staff as opposed to just... letting the free market take over. Thus I am a -1.
correct me if I’m wrong but to me this means that a region needs to be set up. Would make sense to me if this just became an application as these “approved players” would be staff members, argued the most trusted players on the server.
Hey Otter, I do plan to have a thread for those who want to get their shop added, but not to act as an application, just as a notification that there’s a shop out there that needs to be added. I like the idea, but I’m a busy person and an application service and fee would create unnecessary overhead. To address “troll shops”, these can be reported on that forum post and just removed. So in a way this will be done, just minus the application and fee. I just don’t have the time for all that, and am not motivated by ECD Thank you for the suggestion, and I really appreciate your support <3
