So I've been grinding pumpkins for the last 2 weeks to try to get to 100k, I did, and am currently at a moment of "what now". Nobody is going to sell feats to someone w no referrals, I don't want president, any Ideas ecc?
Depends on what you want/need. If I had 100k I would invest it into my town or I would save it in my bank.
I think you'll find that people will sell features to you - you'll simply need to pay them before purchasing. Make sure it's a trusted user (e.g someone with multiple features and has been part of the community for a while - not a builder who joined last week) and take plenty of screenshots of the agreement and money sent and you'll be fine!
I personally do features through middlemen/lady (I only want mods to do this though). Middlemen is a person that moderates both sides of the transaction, they take the money from the buyer and confirms it to the seller. The seller buys the feat and once the buyer confirms he got the feature the middlemen awards the seller the money. Its less likely to be scammed as long as you use a trusted middleman (that why I only let mods do it), just keep receipts and make sure the middleman doesn't return the money unless its 100% certain the seller is scamming (IE no screen cap of receipt even though they say they did) or the other way around (if the buyer got proof of transaction but the receiver of the feat swears they haven't got it over 10 minutes)
Save it up, buy a star tool and or buy different decorations for your town and make it look all nice so that people who are looking for a town can come to yours and say oh this is a a nice town and join it. Though I highly do not suggest giving people plots for a town as I do not do that(to much risk in my part with the museum and all). You could also save your money up and start collecting Diamond blocks, Emerald Blocks, 500k of Exp, and double chest of nether stars for the forum medals, but its your money do with it what you wish.

Star tools are a way away I think, it took me 2 weeks of grinding to get to 100k, If i did that for 5 months i guess I could reach 1m, but ID be sick and tired of ecc by the end of that haha, trying to find something i can do with a more reasonable amount of money
Also remember to mine with a maxed pick for the first week or two following the reset of the Mining world. You'll find this'll earn you far more than pumpkin farming. Definitely switch over to farming for the second half of the month. I believe you can earn around 10k an hour with a max fortune pick. Mining is a risk, yes, particularly if you're lacking features, but if done smartly with proper equipment it is very profitable. Things like binding the home command to a key for when you fall into lava to prevent the loss of equipment and ores is a big one. Investing in protection 4 armour is a good idea as well. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere on the forums that goes into this in more detail - definitely have a look for that! I don't play much anymore, but if you can tell me when you're in game I'll happily hop on and give you access to my semi auto cocoa farm. It has a $600 profit every 4 minutes if I recall correctly (including replant time). I grinded for the nether stars I needed using this farm so I could save up for my Eff-7. I find rotating fishing, mining, and farming (mixed with small breaks to work on no profit projects) earn me a nice chunk of money and I'm putting that money made int a sign to buy nstars. Doing it this way is slow going, but in a couple weeks (around $180k spent) I've got 9 stacks of nstars and I don't feel like I've devoted my life to ecc. I would put the $100k into a sign and buy nstars (they are about $590-$600 each now). It will take some time, but if you rotate what you do and take breaks, you'll get a tool that will make it so much easier to make more money faster.
I'd apritiate if you'd donate some of it to my president fund but I will not ask for all of it as 100k is a lot but I'd really like if you'd donate please
