Winter 2023 Ornament Building Contest

It's that time of year again! The ornament building contest will be returning again this year, giving users the opportunity to make ornaments to decorate our holiday tree and possibly even win some awesome prizes!

Event Details:

Entries start immediately, and the deadline to have builds finished will be 12:00 PM EST on December 24th, so that I have time to get any potential last minute entries or completions onto the tree.

All entrants will be given a plot at /warp build to build their ornament in. Entrants will need to bring their own materials for the ornament. Once ornaments have been completed I will move them onto the tree, located at /warp tree (right next to the build town). All ornaments that are built will be placed onto the tree!

Judging will be done as soon as possible after the deadline, but because this will be in the thick of the holiday season I don't want to give an exact date. Hopefully winners will be announced sometime around the new year!

Event Rules:

All builds must follow global server rules! As long as your ornament is not vulgar, offensive, or violates server rules in any other way, please feel free to build and be as creative as you like! Ornaments absolutely do not have to be Christmas themed, go ahead and be expressive and decorate the holiday tree the way you want!

In addition to the top ten prizes, all entrants will receive 10x Events Raffle Tickets for participating and helping fill our holiday tree!

Judging will be done by a panel of staff (who aren't competing) in order to rank the top 10 ornaments for prizes listed below:

1st Place: 1x Tool of Choice (excluding mythic sword) & exclusive lored item
2nd Place: 2x Item Boost & exclusive lored item
3rd Place: 1x Item Boost & exclusive lored item
4th Place: 75x Events Raffle Tickets
5th Place: 50x Events Raffle Tickets
6th Place: 25x Events Raffle Tickets
7th Place: $250,000 ECD
8th Place: $200,000 ECD
9th Place: $150,000 ECD
10th Place: $100,000 ECD

There will also be a community vote held for the best of a few categories that will take place from December 24th at 12:00 PM EST through December 31st at 11:59 PM EST. That vote will be held in this forum thread, and more information will be announced closer to those dates. The categories are as follows:

Anyone interested in this competition, please reply to this thread stating your interest and I will assign you a plot at /warp build to build your ornament in! Once your ornament has been completed, I will move it onto the tree for you. You'll get to pick your own spot on the tree, and those will be done on a first-come first-serve basis!​
