If we do reset, the only thing we would keep would be our donor ranks, staff ranks, and maybe Trusted rank.

The thing is that if a reset does happen, we can all make new things, and start over. Nothing in permanent. Overall, we would also be able to add new things, reduce lag, and get many more players. To be short: It helps us more than it hurts us.
Exactly. Sure it sucks to lose all ur stuff, especially if you have 600 diamond blocks like me. But reset means more places to build, less lag, more player. All these add up to more fun.
Ah, yes, but, the mods would ban that player and not even allow access to that command, maybe fireball to get rid of their buildings but, I suppose what could happen is that damage could be done to other property. Just a thought.
I fully support a reset, the server needs the update and the build world needs a lot of the old clutter removed. I have been planning a new shop and town layout since the rumors began back in November. Yes, losing everything will be discouraging but I look forward to making an improved version of my town and shop. My idea for a reset would be a community area where shops can advertise or players can post information for warps, spawner grinders and shops. I'm sure everyone tires of my shop @ /warp hordekilr spam but that is currently the only way to go. I would also like to see town chats or group chats available so the main chat can be a little less crowded with so many different conversations. Would a plugin like Dynmap be possible to implement as well? I know counting blocks and the F3 screen get irritating to use for large building layouts. Instead of a 2 end possibility, would it not be easier to build a special pvp arena zone and leave the end more open to farming? 'Mandatory' towny wars do seem like a bad idea but a large scale pvp zone could allow towns to build a fortress and war in a given area.
I just want to bump hordkilr's ideas here. I think they are all well rounded, I don't know of the Dynmap plugin though. Is it like a live map? Also the idea for the PvP, was exactly something I was going to say, so that's a +1 for me!
I really like your idea of an area where you can 'advertise' your warp. The townchat thing is also a pretty cool idea. Don't really like the large scale pvp idea.
There is no confirmed talk about a reset, it is still just in suggestion and brainstorming mode. If everyone dislikes the idea obviously they would not do it.
