I think the gifter should be able to just hold the gift I don't like the idea of kingcharlie being added to the chest...and I said multiple times I would like to give the persons gift who I am giving early because I have vacation soon

@KingCharlie9 take me off the list. I will be gone are awhile
-
If necessary I can step in for @RaginDevonian as I was unaware of this event yet would still like to participate.
-
Maybe have the initial chest be only unlocked for the giver, and then someone moves all the items to the correct chest the day before or something.

If you are not the person who locked the chest, but added to the chest, can you still log block that chest? I know if you are not added to a locked chest you can’t, but I don’t know if you can if you are added to the chest, but the chest is locked by someone else.
-
I don't know much about log blocking myself, but what if the people go and lock those chests themselves and add the person who will transfer the items
-
I'm pretty sure that as long as you are added to the chest you can logblock it, regardless of whether its actually your lock or not. Might want to test it to be sure.

I suppose @KingCharlie9 could have everyone put their presents into the chest at least a week in advance so that the logs clear on their own.
-
But what if (theoretically) the person who will need to check that chest needs to hire an investigator (and add perms to that chest)
-
I guess in that case since the player with logblock isn't added to the chest they wouldn't be able to see the logs for it, in which case the gift receiver would not be able to find out who gave it (assuming Charlie is the only administrator for the chest and he doesn't add anyone onto the locks to investigate). But it still stands for players who have the investigator feature and are receiving a gift.
-
Ok. I guess I misread the overall topic. I thought we were talking about the middle man taking items from the secret Santa
-
Yes. That’s why a middle man was suggested so the only two people on a chest is the recipient and the transferee
-
Ladyvamptress Bloodlust Ex-EcoLegendECC Sponsor Builder ⛰️ Ex-EcoLegend ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Prestige ⭐ III ⭐ Premium UpgradeYes but once the gift giver puts the items in the chest, they can be removed and the gift received added, so that would stop people from checking to see who is added to the chest. If that makes sense.
The main issue brought up @Jdawger is that if you have investigator feature, once you’re added to the chest to pick up your gift, you can log the chest and see who originally put the items in it, making it not so secret Santa anymore.-

KingCharlie9 EcoPremiumPrestigeLegendTycomasterBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeAlright, let me clear this up for you and everyone. Thanks to @a_man21 for helping me test a few things.
All chests will be locked by me. If you punch the chest, all it will say is 'Locked by KingCharlie9'. So you can't view the members of the chest, just the owner - me.
So, I will add the gift-giver to the chest of the person they need to gift. Then, on Christmas day, the gift-receiver will be added, to receive their gift.
If you really want to know that bad who gave you the gift, then you can use the investigator feature to do so. I will also be publishing the list after Christmas so people can see who gifted them, unless of course the gift-giver wants to stay anonymous, which, I suspect, most will want to. I hope this answers it for everyone.-

KingCharlie9 EcoPremiumPrestigeLegendTycomasterBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeI won't take anything... If I did it would completely ruin the whole point. I am not that type of person. You can trust me with your gifts, and in fact, I hereby agree to not remove things out of chests. And you could always have an investigator check if I removed something, which I wont.
And also, the whole point is so that we wait until Christmas for the gift, not get it early-december.
Your wishes are my command.
Yes you can, tested it with @a_man21 . That is why I advise not to use logblock on the chests, some people may want to remain anonymous.
Today.-
