This sort of thing actually belongs in Help and Support for the future as this is a bug, not a "need to switch it on" thing.
This appears to be an issue with McMMO itself. So, @andrewkm will need to take a look. -
A lot of our McMMO system has just been re-done.
Please report any issues via https://ecc.eco/help
PS: This should bring functionality to McMMO and 1.19 as well, regarding TreeFeller working on new materials/etc.
