I smell afking

 

Its too easily abused to allow. You can have auto farms with this stuff

 

Automation, which is illegal

 

Look hoppers couldn't take a wheat plant and turn it into wheat plus... egg afk farming is leagal

 

Yeah ok so I'll just leave my computer on for the night and make millions with hoppers and eggs. This is literally a replacement for autofishing, except you don't even need a mod/macro for it.

 

Full Afk egg farms are still technically illegal. Going to pick up eggs off the ground is technically semi-afk. Hoppers can move eggs to chests, thus making that full afk since you can collect them while away from keyboard (afk)

 

I've heard that you are allowed to afk while being near chickens, these are the only exception though

 

Didn’t used to be like that. Their egg spawn rate was severely nerfed (mostly due to lag). Still, if you leave it overnight, it is only like $30 a night max

 

Afk issues and also iirc duplication bugs. Both are not fun for the delicate economy balence.

 

It’s illegal... just not worth the time to deal with right now since it doesn’t really generate money. It is the very definition of what we are not supposed to do on this server. To the point players are actually calling for it to be even easier to be illegal... lol

If those who want to use it do use it constantly, which I imagine would be a lot of people, itll lag the server

As much as I would love to AFK farm my way to glory, others too, it really wouldn't change the economy.
Because if we are all allowed to AFK farm, that means we all probably would. And let's say AFK farming makes you 5k per hour. Well, if we all AFK we would end up in the same heirarchy, just with a bit more money. Along with the server lag, there is no point to AFK farm.

Surely you must understand why redstone isn't allowed for pistons and large clocks in the first place (particularly in the market)

 

Redstone isn't disabled for no apparent reason, it causes lag, encourages afk farming/money making and not to mention all the exploits/bugs that could come from it, such as duplicating items etc.

Afk egg farming is legal, but as others have said you get less than $500 for an entire night of afking. With redstone added, that would mean practically anything could be automated; including melons, pumpkins and other things that make a lot of money.

 

How could they get automated without hacks/mods(Pumpkins melons ect.)
