2022 Ornament Building Contest



It's that time of year again! As many people across the world decorate for the holidays, I wanted to do the same on ECC! Introducing the (hopefully) annual ornament building contest!

Located at /warp bunny, the tree is approximately 180 blocks tall, going all the way up to y-320!

I think it would be really awesome to get this tree decorated by the ECC community, and I'm also going to do a competition to go alongside it! If you would like to add a decoration to the tree but are not interested in the competition, just shoot me a message in-game :)

The rules for the competition are simple! As long as your ornament's design follow's server rules, anything goes! Your ornament absolutely does not have to be Christmas themed, it can be if you want it to be, and absolutely feel free to be creative! :D

I'm not implementing a size limit on ornaments this year, I'm trusting that no one will make something absurdly too large. As long as your ornament looks proportionally good on the tree, go for it! If you would like a specific size definition, I think think anything in a 15x15x15 area will work great!



The top 10 ornaments will be awarded the following prizes:

2nd Place: $500,000 ECD & $30 ECC GC
3rd Place: $250,000 ECD & $20 ECC GC
4th Place: $200,000 ECD
5th Place: $150,000 ECD
6th through 10th Place: $75,000 ECD

The ornaments that best fit the following criteria will also win a bonus $100,000 ECD:

The deadline for building ornaments will be December 24th at 11:59 PM EST! At this point I will remove all the contestants from the region! Judges will review the submissions and results will be posted once all judges have submitted their info, or by December 31st at the absolute latest!​
