Wonder if it could be command lag from a plug in spamming the server.

 

I too have experienced this, but can't really investigate it properly until we're on 1.18.1
This is one of those things we'll have to wait for the latest Minecraft version to be running for us to look into it.
Feel free to make a new report once we push our update through. <3
Investigating this in any way on 1.17.1 will be a lost cause.

PS: I've added this to our development to do list, maybe @electronicboy will figure something out in the meantime.

 

Can you still reproduce this issue? The timing of this lines up with the dates around which mojang had some issues with the xbox services stuff used for the client block lists

 

I believe @bsqt and I were having issues earlier with chat lag, though Andrew wasn't. I'm not sure about everyone else.

 

Just to add to this, when there is a "chat lag" spike, doing /ch qm g doesn't seem to have any lag.

 

Honestly, I genuienly believe the best response here is let's please wait until our 1.18.1/2 release. <3
Then we can truly examine the situation with the latest software running.

 

you can also send the same message a second time and it goes through. A different message may or may not get lagged, but the resend always goes though.

 

@killrdarknes, Since it's been a month now, have these issues persisted or have things gotten better now?
I'm hoping it was just some bad network issues on OVH's side a month ago.
