I agree with jdawger, put it at 3 to keep it the same as sand.

I would have really liked to be able to put an unbiased comment about whether it should be 3 or 4 but it's impossible since i've made this thread. So i will not make a comment regarding my thoughts.
It would be REALLY helpful if you could explain why it should be the number you suggest (such as 3 or 4). -
I don’t know if this was directed at me or @strongpelt , but I thought I was pretty self explanatory. Sand is value 3, thus so should glass.

I also agree it would be nice to have it worth more since there is effort in creating it. Sand to glass should be +1 and to color it (as dye can also be quite a chore) should be worth another +1.
Is that not the reason that stone bricks are 2? -
Cobblestone is worth 1, stone is worth 2.
The added process of production, and the fact that you turn a farmable block into a purely decorative one, makes me believe that glass should indeed be worth 4, being 1 point higher than sand.
