Suggestion: To change a lot of applications to fix some very big and a few minor problems.

Reason:

• Advantages
  • Faster processing times because of less errors.
  • Less annoyance for applicants who need to fix their apps.
  • Less annoyance for GameAdmins who need to explain the same mistake very often.
• Disadvantages
  • It takes a few minutes to change it (at least the most important parts).

An amazing amount of users deposits money into their forum balance, only to be told that they need it ingame. This could speed up quite a few applications.
I suggest to add it to those three applications because any of them can be the first one a Builder can fill out. After seeing it for the first time, they will likely remember it for all future applications. (Evidence: Residents+ application forum and its absence of the balance confusion problem.)

I have seen enough players who take it literally and post their President app... ignoring the Mayor town and all other additional towns. Also, "currently" would mean that a user's Mayor application becomes irrelevant if they sold their town or if it was claimed.

The original suggestion in this thread was based on the fact that many players do not care about the town application URLs. I then collected some data to prove my point.

I evaluated all applications that were filed after January 15th 2016, 12:00 AM Central European Standard Time and before the time of this data's publication (January 22nd 2016, 6:55PM Central European Standard Time), i.e., one week.

I always looked at the original post. If a link was edited in after the initial publishing, I counted it as "Link not provided".


The Presidents+ section.

72.72% of all applicants succeeded.
27.27% failed, mostly because of the plural form "Towns", often only the President town was specified.
Not good, but also not that bad.


The Mayors+ section.

44.44% of all applicants succeeded.
55.55% failed, mostly because of the lack of a town link.

More than half of the Mayor+ applicants did not see the info text because it is barely noticeable.
