I can honestly say that I hate how users have the ability to change message colors in chat. Chat (trade chat specifically) has become a f*cking rainbow since this was introduced. For that reason alone, +1.

 

There is a large difference between thinking someone is using a different chat, and thinking someone is privately messaging you. Honestly, why are you so against stopping trolls? That's the only reason one could reasonably think to keep it. If you want it to advertise, you've got 15 other colors, including one that, again, looks similar but won't be confused as a PM. It will be stopping trolls and bring no negative effect on the server, aside from a few people might be mad they have to use purple instead of pink.

 

I'm not against stopping trolls, it just a ridiculous thing to complain about. With regards to my comparison, the other colours can still be deceiving, the only difference is that PMs are private.

 

+1, Its so annoying. iv actually typed out full responses and tried sending them. one confused me so bad i thought my pm broke or something. Its incredibly annoying when your in the middle of chatting with someone in pm at the time. Its not needed. Find a different color. Iv almost ignored pm's because i no longer know if its an ad sometimes. And when I'm eff7 mining around lava or in the nether id rather not get confused for any length of time. Even a second of confusion can end in a big disaster when I'm in the nether.

If I reply to the pink message with expletives, would I get in trouble? As technically it was meant for pm 'which I'm allowed to say anything as its private, but I was confused for a second or too, does that get me off the hook?
