I guess I don't have a place in this thread if people are only going to read what they can argue against and ignore the rest. :/
... ...... Not all hackers are outright stupid, and usually the stupid ones get caught the quickest. It's the other ones we're supposed to be worried about, it's those people that know how to hide it. It's those people that make this system useless. When they take a screenshot for the sole purpose of proving that they're not hacking then there's no way they would forget to turn the hacks off. So hoping for them to forget won't get you anywhere.
Two recent ones that popped in my head, maybe even more in the forums If I am to go dig for them but I do not need to waste time. Those screenshots had people using hacks and takin screenshots. PS: One of them was a Tycoon / Ecoleader at time.
Point proven that they weren't the brightest crayons in the box. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
Please re-read the bolded italic and underlined part of my quote. I highlighted it like that for a reason.
Does that mean we should add another system that doesn't work? I fail to see the point you're trying to make with this statement.
Yes kuke, because the current system works SOO well. March 12th March 17th March 17th March 20th All these dates are dates if complaints against ONE player, and are still open... Kinda sad a kid can do this and get away with no trouble for ALMOST ONE MONTH, at this point wouldn't you be for a suggestion like this? Please explain why you are so defensive against this even though it requires maybe 1 minute of the user and your time, why do you not want this so bad? Even if most intelligent people would close the hacks this kid still does his thing even with multiple complaints up.
NAVYSEALS2000 oh wait this suggestion is invalid, players can use obviously edited pictures to be unbanned so I assume they can use edited pictures in this case too. Zecrux
You're missing my point, if someone is forced to take a screenshot of their stuff to "prove" that they're not hacking, then the first thing they'll think of is hiding it. Which is a piece of cake, as I explained earlier. Current complaints don't matter, absolutely nothing of that matters, because absolutely none of it is the same as what is being proposed. Just because someone continues to hack even with open complaints doesn't mean said person won't hide it when FORCED to take screenshots.
I agree with you NAVYSEALS2000 that hackers should have a harsher punishment and should be checked up on. But as Original_Jackson kukelekuuk00 and a few others have said this method is just to circumstantial. Catching someone forgetting to turn off a hack is very slim indeed to incorporate this into a practice in hopes to catch someone is just wishful thinking. But that is just one point. Players can accuse you of invasion privacy. The punishment has already been given (ban, removal of items ect) to constantly pester them after they have severed out their punishment is just harassment. I sympathize with your concern hackers are dishonest and should have stricter rules against them maybe a 2 strike law? Anyways that's why this suggestion has met so much dissaproval it is not because we disagree with your goal (harsh punishment for cheaters) it's just your proposed method as t_bone correctly said it is too extreme for this server and has many side affects that can affect the server legally and environmentally.
So uh, why do you ask for a screenshot in survival after they appeal? I mean, that makes no sense whatsoever.
He is also saying that its easy to hide the hacked client. That is true, but it doesnt stop them from hiding it in survival, or keeping back ups somewhere on their computer. Heck its even easier just to redownload the client.
