While I believe this is a smart thing to add, you can easilly press tab and see which staff are online and not in vanish, and send them a message using /msg <Username>

 

Users are generally nice enough when you ask questions in global, and ive noticed it normally helps start some conversations in-game.

 

If the player is on the seperate world than you (You're in Main and they are in Main North) you can still message them by typing their full name With Caps.

 

On the one hand this is something seemingly simple...

On the other, this guy cared enough to make a forum thread and ask. How many players got frustrated and left first?

Definitely think a good solution could help here

If you are new it can be confusing as to who to ask what, and while the tab is organized if you don't know that fact or how it is organized you still won't know who to ask. Also not everyone is comfortable bracing a community with questions when they are new.

 

I would be down to have a command like /help staff where it pings the staff channel that said user requires assistance and place it on a 1 hour cool down.

 

Staff assistance shouldn't be on a cooldown imo. Just ban people who abuse it.

Won’t happen for a good dozen of reasons.

- Takes away from community interaction.
- Just another command new players have to learn about.
