SkyBlock ServerShort title for your suggestion:
Adjust (natural) mob spawning limitsWhat are you suggesting:
With the introduction of spawners and with the amount of actively used spawners on the server increasing, the spawn rates of natural spawning mob traps have decreased to almost 0. This is a bad situation for players that are just starting out on the server and for players that cant afford to buy spawners themselves (let alone be lucky enough to even get a useful one). Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
I hereby suggest to raise the mob limits outlined in bukkit.yml "spawn-limits:"
Since its very hard to tell what a decent value would be, as one would have to account for players online and max mob spawners active at a time, i suggest to slowly raise the limits and see the outcome of it.
Maybe it is possible to analyze the numbers to get an idea where you should go using some of those wonderful tools you have on the server ;)
It makes the gamemode more enjoyable for newer players. Imagine you farmed and built that mobtrap for hours just to realize it wont be spawning anything at all.Other information:

+1 Something needs to change I suppose, so unless there is a better alternative, this is the way forward I guess :3

5 hrs... not one natural spawn on my island.. tested everything. Also saw the same on other islands.
basically at this point if you don't have spawners set up you have no access to mobs. not the best way to bring in new players and/or keep them around long enough to donate.

+100. My afk mob spawner in the Last week has produced a total of about a single stack of materials/mob drops. When I first built it it made about 90 to 100 times as much.

Gluup is exactly correct - I have very few natural mobs since the intro of spawners. I even created huge dark areas in several places trying to get them to spawn with no luck.
As stated, this is not a good way to entice new players to join if they have no chance of getting drops. -

I agree with Gluu and the rest, I'm not getting any mob spawns on my island ( I did wonder why I wasn't getting attacked). It's not really fair to new players getting started. There is a new player on at this moment, level 10, built a mob grinder and is now discouraged because of it.

Yeah I’ve witnessed a few new players quit because they spent a lot of time and effort building any of the natural spawning mob grinder to find out they hardly get any mobs to spawn. +1 for this if it fixes this issue.
