We should adjust the opening and closing times of the stock market for several reasons. The main reason is that most people are not available during the middle of the day because they might have school or work. Another reason is that we should make it more realistic by using the same times as the real stock market (9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST) because that is the goal of our server to have a realistic economy. In conclusion we should change the times that the stock market opens and closes.
The 15min delay does not bother me it just bothers me that i am at school the only times that it is open which is a four hour period.
Because of the way the trader handles splits, IPOs, and other factors, there is no possible way that the stock market can be open more than those four hours. Plus this has been suggested multiple times and denied.
